Since the book was only $3.95, I thought I'd buy it for an overview. The book is more like a yellow pages directory- names, addresses and phone numbers. Each category (restaurants, shopping, tours, etc.) has general listings and a little bit of detail and driving directions to the place. Not much more. No maps. (You'd be better off using your smart phone for a map and directions). Photos are small in Kindle edition. Section on restaurants was very disappointing. I was hoping to get more useful information from a local's viewpoint, but did not. It does seem that every golf course in the area is listed, but I don't golf. Generally the book is not fabulous and is not very compelling. I should have bought a different book.Product details

Fabulous Tucson Travel Destinations What to do in Tucson AZ Southwest Travel Book 1 eBook Shane Livingston Robert Resetar Reviews
I'm heading to Tucson next month for 3 weeks and thought there was little to do there (I don't golf). This is a great book. I now have a list of things to do and places to see. I'm looking forward to my free time. Thanks.
What a fun guide! This is not the usual tedious travel guide, this guide has humor, things for everyone to do and simple directions. The photographs in this Tuscon guide are quite beautiful and artistic with great humor running though the book, it makes the places described easily accessible. The best places to visit, fun facts and all the information of any other guide yet this guide is one that you'd want to read on vacation or anytime just to be informed about history and facts of the area in general.
No frills down to earth travel book. Exactly what I was looking for. Great suggestions and photos, all the pertinent information needed. Now I have my trip all planned out.
I am planning a trip to Tuscon in the near future (am in Minnesota) and didn't know anything about it. Well now I sure do. This book is really thorough and has just about everything you can imagine. And stuff you'd never imagine. The author lives there. It's also really humorous and lots of fun to read. Not just plain facts. I highly recommend it.
Stick with the major name guidebooks with more information. Tucson is a lovely destination for an extended vacation, provided you have wheels to get out of town.
I've been to Tucson before (twice) and now I know what I've been missing! I will be sure to take this book with me the next time. The author is a resident of Tucson, and provides an insider's look at his city and its surroundings. He serves up plenty of FACTS about the area and the BEST THINGS TO SEE AND DO on your stay --- even provides hours of operation and directions -- all in a WELL-ORGANIZED and easy-to-navigate format with lots of GORGEOUS PHOTOS to entice you. As a bonus, it is written with such WRY HUMOR and STYLE that it's a delight to read ... even for the sort of traveler who chooses never to leave the armchair. It kept me smiling all the way.
